After Alison rode the float around town a few times, we picked her up and drove home for a family party. Ingrid made two delicious 'smorgåstorta's (sandwich cakes) the one on the left was roast beef and the one on the right was shrimp.

Alison's graduation 'parade'
In Helsingborg, all the schools hold their graduation on the same day. After the students finish with the ceremony in the school, they meet up in a large open area at the top of a hill and proceed down to the center of town to get on the floats and make a couple of trips around town getting waved at by everyone. The students are the ones with the white caps that you can see snaking down to the town center. It was raining cats and dogs so everyone had umbrellas and rain ponchos.
Alison's graduation
Here is where the students met up to gather their class together before proceeding down to the float area. They all have on their yellow raincoats. Every graduate has a white hat and holds a poster with their baby picture on it.

Alison's graduation, waiting in the rain
It rained through the entire graduation - not drizzle, hard rain - and it was windy! Inge and Ingrid waited with me for Alison to come out of the school. She was able to find us by the baby picture we held up. When she came out, we hung flowers and teddy bears and things around her neck and she took the poster and ran with the rest of her class to the meeting place, from where they proceeded down to the floats.
